OCLB - Monthly Chapter Meeting

Important notice. Marie Callendar's filed for bankruptcy and has closed this restaurant. We just found this out today. We will need to re-schedule our meeting in a new location. We will let you k now as soon as we have found a new location. If we have to wait until the September meeting, we had decided to postpone that meeting until the second Tuesday in September--September 10, rather than meeting the day after Labor Day.

At this month's meeting, we will be accepting nominations for the Core Group poistions as follows: President, Vice-President of Outings, Treasurer and Board Representative. Nominations are open until the start of the September meeting, at which time we will have our election of officers. Additionally, we will be accepting nominations for The Volunteer of the Year for our chapter.

Besides the elected positions, the following Core Group openings are filled by the Core Group, and we are looking for volutneers: Secretary, Outreach, and Webmaster.

We have a social hour at 7 PM, and dinner service will begin at about 7:30 PM. Each person is responsible for their own food and beverage bill. We have a $50 minimum for our group. The Core Group will be meeting briefly at 7 PM during the social hour and all are welcome to participate and give input. However, only Core Group Members can vote during this part of the meeting. The general meeting will start at 8 PM so that the various trip leaders will have a chance to highlight their recent and upcoming trips, and answer questions from the participants. We will also  be discussing possible events for the 2019-2020 calendar. Our President, Lance, will report on the July Corporate Board Meeting.
