Hike from the stone house at mission creek to Whitewater river and return.

  • Distance: 7.6 miles

  • Difficulty: Strenuous
  • Type: Out and back

Easy to follow trail, some amount of soft sand for 1/2 mile.  The Mission Creek must be crossed at one point, and although there are stepping stones, poles would be advised. This is part of the new San to Snow National Monument.

What to bring: 

Ten Essentials (click here), water (2 to 3 liters recommended), lunch/snacks, sun protection, layered clothing and hiking poles. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread and adequate drinking water are required.
