4x4 Trip Burns Canyon – Baldwin Lake - Big Bear

Route:  Beginning in Yucca Valley we will take the back trail to Big Bear and stop in town for lunch at Murry’s Saloon and Eatery which has a large outdoor patio where dogs are allowed. Approximately 20 miles on Burns Canyon Road and 2N02.

We will return via Hwy 38 with an optional side trip on the Wildhorse Meadows trail. 

Rated: Moderate-suitable for stock 4x4 vehicles. Much of this trail is easy to moderate; however, two steep hills have large boulders to maneuver around.

Equipment Requirements:

4-wheel drive high clearance vehicle with transfer case, trail rated tires, a spare tire and a full tank of gas. Bring water and trail snacks.

Pets welcome. 

Drivers are welcome to bring passengers which should be arranged ahead of time. Drivers can register their passengers as guest. GO does not arrange rideshare.
