  • 9:00 Start the Bike Ride

Event Lead: Steven Stowe (619-309-5674)

Join us Saturday, June 4th, for a bike ride through Liberty Station to the south side of Embarcadero. (See the attached map for details on the route.) In total, we’ll bike ride almost 17 miles, which will take us about 3 hours. There’ll be some elevation change, but not much since we will be at sea level (183 FT).  Difficulty is moderate.

And we’ll be making plenty of stops and water breaks, there are 4 restroom stops along the bike route, we will stop at each one and do a bladder check.  Along with a muster.

We’ll meet at Liberty Station in front of Fisherman’s Processing Parking lot (2837 Historic Decatur Rd San Diego, CA 92106)  Plenty of Parking in the Parking Lot.  As a reference point, the parking lot is on the East side of Liberty Station Public Market.  This will be our starting point and end point.  We’ll start at Liberty station, then venture south following the water.  Making our way to Spanish Landing, then circling around Harbor Island.  After that we will proceed around the bay going through Seaport Village till we get to our turnaround point, the south side of Embarcadero.  After that we will proceed back to Liberty Station.  During the route, we will stop at a few photo op places to capture the memory and have some water breaks. Also bring some cash if you choose to partake in some eating at the Street food Market Fair across the midway. It will be one of out rest and bathroom stops. They have a great selection of food and live music (1009 N Harbor Drive).  Lots of sightseeing and views.

What to bring:

Please bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, make sure your tires are aired up, any snack/s you may want, any medications you may need, a face mask (for just in case), and weather-appropriate clothing.

Hope you can join us!
