This trail, which is open to equestrians, offers scenic views of south Palm Springs and the San Jacinto Mountains. It is one of our easier hikes because there is not much climbing, but is rated moderate because the sandy soil can get washed out in spots. We plan to hike at a leisurely pace, starting from the Barona Road access to the Garstin-Shannon-Henderson Trail Loop, off Bogert Trail in south Palm Springs. There is limited space to park nearby so carpooling is encouraged and may be offered by participants. Optional group lunch afterwards.

Registration note: This hike is designed to welcome first time or novice hikers. Experienced hikers may join waitlist and will be added if space is available.
