Come up to the mountains and reconnect with nature after a tough year. Dogwood is a beautiful campground in the San Bernardino mountains with abundant pines, cedars, oaks, and dogwoods, the tree that gives the campground its name.

The towns of Lake Arrowhead and Crestline are nearby with grocery stores, restaurants, and many small stores offering a variety of goods.

There are 2 short easy hikes within the campground, and other hikes are a short drive to the trailheads. The Pinnacles hike offers amazing views of the mountains and the high desert. Heart Rock in Crestline is an easy hike that ends where the stream has carved a heart shape in the rock. The Heap's Peak Arboretum is another easy stroll with information about the San Bernardino Mountains (free, but requires an Adventure Pass (can be purchased in Crestline or Lake Arrowhead) or America the Beautiful pass for parking).

Campground Amenities and Notes:

Flush toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, food lockers (bears and other wildlife frequent the area), and showers. (note: as of now, the showers are closed due to Covid, however, they may be open at the time of the campout. Will update as more is known.)

Pets are allowed in the campground, and must remain on a leash.

Firewood: Avoid transporting pests and "buy it where you burn it". Firewood is sold throughout the mountain, and is available at the campground for $8/bundle.

Note on RV/Trailer sites:

Please read the details below carefully. If your vehicles will not fit, according to the information below, please do not take the site.

Sites have a 30 amp electric hookup. There is no water or sewer connection, but there is a dump station onsite and the fee is collected by the campground.

If you have a trailer, both the trailer and tow vehicle must fit on the paved slab.

If you have an RV and bring a towed vehicle, it must fit on the paved slab.

All sites are 11' wide, so if you have bump-outs, make sure they will fit.

Site 86: Driveway 25' long, 25' RV or small pop-up trailer.

Site 87: Driveway 33' long, 30' RV or max 23' trailer

Site 89: Driveway 25' long, 25' RV or max 21' trailer

There is no extra parking at this campground.

Each tent site registration includes parking for 1 vehicle. Second person sharing a tent must register at the same time, and must arrive with first person in same vehicle. No extra parking available. Tent sites will not be shared with RV's.

Getting there:
