SD - Biking - Coronado Island to Silver Strand

Join us Saturday, June 25th, for a bike ride through Coronado Island all the way to the end of the Silver Strand and back. (See the attached map for details on the route.) In total, we’ll bike ride a little over 22 miles, which will take us about 3 hours. There’ll be some elevation change, but not much since we will be at sea level (194 FT).  Difficulty is moderate. But in term of Miles (Length)  I would say it Moderate Expert.

And we’ll be making plenty of stops and water breaks along the route, there are 3 restroom stops along the bike route, we will stop at each one and do a bladder check.  Along with a muster.

We’ll meet at Centennial Park (1101 1^st Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118).  This will be our starting point and end point.  We’ll start at Centennial Park, then venture south following the bay.  Making our way to Silver Strand, till we get to our turnaround point, the south side of the Silver Strand.  After that we will proceed back to Centennial Park.  During the route, we will stop at a few photo op places to capture the memory and have some water breaks.  Lots of sightseeing and views.

What to bring: 

Please bring plenty of water, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, make sure your tires are aired up, any snack’s you may want, any medications you may need, a face mask (for just in case), and weather-appropriate clothing.
