Abalone and Sacred Coves

Join us for this 3-mile scenic round trip hike on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, followed by an optional visit to neighboring (Lloyd Wright designed) Wayfarer's Chapel and gardens. From the Abalone Cove parking lot we will join the California Coastal Trail to visit both Abalone and Sacred Coves. The hike offers stunning bluff ocean and Catalina in the distance views, native plants and flowers, rocky and sandy beaches, tide pools, and sea caves. The hike will accommodate all skill levels. The trail leads down to the rocky beach, so make sure to wear sturdy hiking boots.

Parking: 2 hours $6, over 2 hours $12, Seniors (age 62+) FREE (carpool with a Senior and get free parking!)
