PS - WALK: Walk the Wash

Join us for a walk above and in the Palm Canyon Wash. We will walk the gravel path above the wash for the majority of the walk and venture into the sandy wash itself for part of the walk. Both can be seen in the picture above. The views of the surrounding hills and mountains will be excellent and we may see some blooming plants in the wash. 

  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Distance: 2.5 miles out and back
  • Terrain: Gravel path and sandy wash
  • Directions to trailhead: Drive South on Farrell Drive in Palm Springs (becomes Barona Rd) until you reach the dead-end at the wash.

Bring Ten Essentials (click here), water (2 liters recommended), lunch and snacks. Hat, sunscreen and layered clothing are recommended.

Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread and adequate drinking water are required.
