  • Passengers register directly as 'Passenger'
  • Passengers are responsible for arranging their ride. During registration please list your driver if known.
  • This category is for passengers looking for a ride. GO does not arrange carpooling, but we will provide your name to a driver who wishes to take on a passenger in their 4x4 vehicle. During the registration process put "looking for a ride" in the ride sharing box.

We will explore the backcounty trails of the Old Dale Mining District. Gold Crown Road to Pinto Basin Rd and exit Cottonwood and return via I-10. We will visit several mine sites and points of interest.  Approximately 25 miles on Gold Crown Rd then 10 miles out to Cottonwood exit. Rated moderate.  Arrive back in Palm Springs by 2:30 to 3pm in time for anyone with evening dinner plans.

Meeting Locations:

9:00 AM - PetSmart, Ramon/Crossley, Palm Springs - Map 

10:15 AM at the 7 Eleven station Twentynine Palms - Map

Equipment Requirements:

4-wheel drive high clearance vehicle with transfer case, tow attachment points, recovery strap, trail rated tires, a spare tire and a full tank of gas. Bring water and lunch/snacks. Pets welcome.

Drivers are welcome to bring passengers.  GO does not arrange rideshares. If any drivers wish to offer a passenger seat, you can so indicate. 

Open to members, nonmembers, guests and pets.
