This event will take place on Mt. San Jacinto, and will be shaped by weather and trail conditions. We plan to do one of the following, to be clarified a day or two before the event based on snow conditions and weather forecast: (1) hike Round Valley Loop (5 miles) using cleats or snowshoes, (2) hike Valley View Loop (2 miles) with boots, cleats, or snowshoes, or (3)  have hot chocolate and a muffin and call it a day.

At about two weeks before the event, forecasts call for the possibility of snow January 20-23. Good snow should make Round Valley Loop the preferred option, which is the basis for the statistics below.

Please note that the Adventure Center is closed this season so snowshoes are not available to rent on the mountain.

Description:

  • Trail Length: 5 miles
